A Hint to Where I'll be Spending my Weekend!
Can this vanity be any more perfect? I'm in love with the shell sink, glass tile wall, shell sconces and the star of the hour the shell mirror. Can you guess where I will be spending my weekend and all of next week? I look forward to seeing if you guys are able to guess correctly.
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be back with plenty of pics from my trip.

Another Kitchen Obsession
Where to begin? Lets start by drooling over the fact that this is a white kitchen, which we all know I LOVE. This is by far the most ideally shaped kitchen I've ever seen. The white expose brick wall is B-A-N-A-N-A-S as is the row of windows at the far end of the kitchen, my favorite feature of the space. This kitchen has it all, from the island, to the floors and we definitely need to acknowledge the spectacular pendant lamp. This was a kitchen of the month on House Beautiful, you can find more info on their website.
Even if you don't love white kitchens as much as I do, I hope you can appreciate the architectural details in the space.

An Oldie but a Goodie!!!
This dining room designed by Thom Filicia is one of my favorite jobs he has ever executed. From the lighting to the spectacular wall size photo of the horses. The man is a genius and this dining room is a great example of his ability as a designer.
A few words from the man himself in regards to this dining room:
"You can push the envelope in a dining room — you want it to be an experience, something exciting and sexy. The way the photo is printed on glass makes the colors glow. It's beautiful and romantic and earthy. I designed the dining table — the top is reclaimed wood, and the base is metal. To me, it's like a classic reinvented. I love a round dining table, where you're all looking at each other. It's more intimate, and the conversation is better. You know, if there's one thing missing from most modern apartments, it's a really great dining space. "
I agree with him in regards to the lack of a proper dining room space in most modern apartments. How about you?

Oscar De La Renta for LEE JOFA
Ever since the new collection of Oscar de La Renta for Lee Jofa came out, I have been seriously obsessed with all of the prints. I've never been a fan of full skirts but I wouldn't mind wearing any of the ones above. Does anyone else loves the new collection as much as I do? I'm sure many of you do, since anything Oscar touches turns to gold.

Kitchen Love!
(images from my inspiration file)
Hey guys,
Sorry I was not able to post earlier. Lately things have been very complicated but in a good way if you know what I mean. Anyways, Bobby and I are actively looking at homes in a beautiful location in South Florida where I'm looking for a fixer upper and Bobby is hoping to find something completely done. That's a battle I will win unless the house has my dream kitchen which I doubt it will. I love white kitchens, always have and always will. I'm just naturally attracted to them, and these two images are the epitome of what I'm hoping my future kitchen will look like. I have decided to bring you along on our search and take images of the homes we tour, with the hopes you will help me convince him that a fixer upper is the way to go. I'm counting on all of you, so please don't let me down.
Hope you're enjoying a beautiful afternoon!

House Beautiful Kitchen of The Year!
I know, I continue to be M.I.A but I appreciated having all of my readers support. I have been working non stop which has kept me away from blogging . Well enough about me, let's focus on design. This year House Beautiful made a great choice to have the amazingly talented Jeff Lewis to design the 2010 House Beautiful Kitchen of the year. Let's start with the California modern concept and open design. I'm in love with the long open shelves, minimalist cabinets and beautiful wood floors.
The dining room table designed by Jeff Soderbergh made from wood salvaged from the old Vanderbilt polo barn. How amazing is that?
The open wine rack is a genius idea!
The Licht im Raum chandelier is not my favorite part of the room however I can appreciate the design the concept behind it. I love succulents and the used in this table setting is perfection. For more information visit HouseBeautiful.com
What do you think of this kitchen? Do you preferred Ina Garten's traditional kitchen from last year? Please do tell. I love to hear your thoughts.

Looking forward to this weekend!
To say I'm looking forward to this weekend will be an understatement. As you can all imagine due to my lack of posting life has been a bit crazy lately. I'm looking forward to spending my weekend in one of Florida's most beautiful beaches with my family. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and take some time to enjoy your summer.

LONNY!!!
The latest issue of Lonny is finally out! I love this living room above, the curtains are my favorite. It makes me want to use my 2 yards of Kalah Blue fabric in one of my designs. I hope you have a fabulous weekend and follow Michelle's and Patrick's motto for the summer and capture as many rays of sunshine as your time and your dermatologist allows it.
P.S. Remember to use lots of sunblock.

I'm Back!!!
I've missed you all and I'm so very sorry for being gone for so long. It was not planned, unfortunately I ended up in the hospital with a ruptured ovarian cyst. Extremely painful, I've never been through anything like that. I had to stay in the hospital for several days and almost had surgery which I chose to cancel. Thank god I'm finally feeling like myself again. I'm sorry I don't have any home projects to share with all of you, I have not been able to finish everything I was working on. For now enjoy this beautiful image via House Beautiful which showcases the most perfect and sophisticated pink dining room I've ever seen.
Thank you to all of my followers for sticking around and not leaving me.

Etsy Rocks!
The main reason I love Etsy is the accessibility it provides for us design enthusiast to items you're unlikely to find at a store. I came across Etsy Seller Jolie Marche while researching burlap pillows. How fantastic are these pillows? I love the vintage feel, it reminds me of something Joni would use in her designs. I can't wait to use a few of these amazing pillows in one of my own interiors.
Have a wonderful Weekend full of treasure hunting!!

When you think of Diane Von Furstenberg you think of her timeless wrap dresses which has been a staple in every modern woman's closet since the 70's. Her home in Connecticut represents her elegant yet eclectic taste. Take a look around and enjoy a tour of her sophisticated country home.

Going Neutral!!!
We all know I'm one to love colors in my interiors however today I felt like going monochromatic. I really need to make room in our house for a neutral space just for moi. I guess I'm really in the mood for some calmness specially since I didn't accomplish much at the doctor's yesterday and now I have to wait until Tuesday's for the results. I hope you'll have a wonderful weekend and will be spending your Mother's Day with your love ones. I plan to spend my weekend working on a million projects I still have to catch up with specially since I need to keep myself occupied and in a zen state of mind.
Sorry for all of my rambling, I just tend to do that when I'm nervous. Thank you for all of your well wishes and I hope you got to enjoy the images!!!!

Anxious!!!
This room is the perfect feminine color combination without feeling to girlie. I'm in love with the chairs, the fabric is perfect for a pair of chairs like the ones in the image. The mirror tables are my favorite feature in the room and the wall color ties everything perfectly. I hope you're having a better day than me. I'm on my way to the doctor with the hopes for some good news!!!!
Thank God is Thursday!!!!

Are Foo Dogs Overrated?
I have a special room in my heart for my foo dogs however I wonder if they are overrated. They have appeared in magazines everywhere from the pages of our beloved Domino to our recent issue of Lonny. Do you feel the trend of displaying your foo dogs in your home is very circa 2006 or do you think they are timeless? Enjoy a few of my favorite images of foo dogs!!!!

Not helping my obsession!
These images of painted bentwood chairs are really not helping my obsession. I have yet to find a pair of my own. I know I will, I just hope is soon!!! Thanks for putting up with my ranting, I just can't vent to Bobby about it anymore. Thanks for the support and let me confess once and for all, I'm a chair addict, a pack rat. How about you? Is there something your obsessed with? I would love to know. The Interior Design anonymous group is officially open for calls!!!!
It's almost Friday which only means more chair hunting. Yay!!!!
