Feeling like a failure!
I'm sorry to keep ranting about my everyday life but these two are our babies and we almost poisoned them.....not intentionally. Since summer is almost here we normally give Jade and Tazer their flea and tick medication around this time of the year. Well, on Monday we proceeded to do just that and it almost killed my babies. The topical medication gave them both a very bad allergic reaction! We noticed both of them acting erratic and restless, trying to rub their backs on the walls, kind of like cats do. They were also whimpering and breathing fast. Bobby is such a good daddy, he right away washed the medication off of them, twice each, and was up all night making sure they were fine. It has been three days already and they are still showing allergic reaction signs, but finally Tazer is laying down and Jade is playing, which before they were not doing. We did some research and it could take upto five days before all symptoms disappear for this type of allergic reaction. Please keep our little ones in your prayers. I feel like such a terrible mommy!

Cheers to a fabulous weekend!
Yes, I had a fantastic weekend and as much as you are hoping to continue reading about other projects being completed at our home, my weekend didn't revolve around interior design at all. On Saturday I slept until 2pm in the afternoon. I'm almost ashamed to admit to this, it has been over five years since last time I did that. My companion in bed did not complaint, he loves it when I sleep in which is almost never. My plan was to go to the gym for two hours to my regular pilates and yoga class and after to Ikea for some frames. The minute I decided to open up a bottle of Riesling Friday night my plans went out the window along with my already fatigued mind and body after the crazy busy week I had.
Anywho, after waking up and feeling rested , I decided it was time to take our new bikes for a spin! The weather was perfect all weekend long here in South FL and I new I will end up getting a tan and I was right! We rode our bikes for almost two hours, we went through all the different neighborhoods in our part of town and saw many homes we would love to buy one day. Everything was perfect until I fell off my bike. Yes, you read right! This twenty something women fell off her bike like I a two year old. I didn't know if to laugh or be mortified since it happened in front of a lot of people but my love was there and if he was not embarrassed to be seen with me, I had to laugh at my silly clumsy self, dust my self off, and keep on riding. I did scrape my knee and my biggest concern was whether I was going to be able to wear my Max Studio dress to dinner to the Orchestra that night. Guess What? I did wear it and I had a great time! That night we went to the Orchestra, which Bobby planned all by himself. I was so proud of him but I end up laughing all night because as much as I would like to say that we enjoyed ourselves, that would be a lie. We went to this place here, I'm sure you remember I blogged about it months ago. After the first hour of listening to the Orchestra play, Bobby and I were ready to take a nap. I'm all for new experiences but I have to admit I rather spend our money on a Broadway show or a concert (I can't wait for U2 this summer!). After the Orchestra we went to have dinner. I must say the setting was perfect and very romantic and my favorite part was the location. The restaurant is in the center of the Miami Design District and with neighbors like waterworks, kartell, dwr, and Fendi Casa it is one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of Miami.
On Sunday we visited family and had lots of yummy cuban food and for dinner went out with friends to BoneFish, had more Riesling, and watched the movie "Bounty Hunter" which I must say is a lot better than I expected.
Sorry for my very long post, I just had to share. Also, I was supposed to finish my project from last week but a very long trip to the dentist yesterday changed my plans. Guess what? I had a root canal done! Are you feeling my pain?

Loving Red!
I'm working on a master bedroom with touches of red that are completely turning me into a red lover! I know is strange because as popular as read is, it has always been a color that I find to be too much for my own personal space unless use as an accent. Here are a couple of images where it showcases red beautifully!
This porch makes me want to move into a big house in Savanna, GA. Love the floors!
This must be one of my favorite color schemes ever!
Love, Love this master bedroom, specially the wallpaper panels and the zig zag night tables. Here is the perfect way to bring a wall paper you love into a room on a budget.
Perfect Red Touches bring glamor into this room.
P.S. I really wanted to share my latest project, remember this post. Well, I'm not done unfortunately and I'm really due for a mani/pedi and those paint cans are not helping my nail situation. I should be back on Monday with images of the project. I'm really looking forward to a wonderful and relaxing weekend with my loves.
Have a wonderful weekend and remember to enjoy your town this beautiful spring!

West Elm Love!
I'm currently loving the newest bedding collection from West Elm, particularly this Links Duvet Cover which I plan to use in one of my projects. Do you love it as much as I do? Too bad the colors don't work in my master bedroom but I guess that's part of the fun of being a designer! Incorporating items you love but don't necessarily work with the color scheme or lay out of your home into your client's homes.
P.S. I can't wait to share my latest project with all of you!

My latest purchase!!!
Yes I know I'm not referring to a knoll chair or a Jonathan Adler lamp but I'm equally in love with my new Huffy Bike, pic above. Over the weekend Bobby insisted on getting new bikes and off to Walmart we went. When I saw it, it was a definite "Hello Lover" moment and I knew I had to have it. I'm so thrilled with it that I plan to ride my new bike to as many places as possible. Now, I just need a new basket. Any idea where I can find a basket like the one below? Have you purchased any items lately that are not related to your homes interior but you still love it as much? Please do tell. I hope you're having a wonderful week!

Out of the Loop!!!
What was I thinking? Liberty of London released it's collection for Target on Sunday!!! I know I'm the last blogger on the face of the earth to blog about the new collection! Since I was at home sick for almost a full week, I've been running around like a mad women catching up with clients and finishing installations. I had completely forgotten to stop by Target to get a couple of items for the house. I thought I would be able to shop on Target.com and score a couple of the great pieces that by now the stores are probably out of. Boy was I wrong! Almost every item is sold out! I can't believe I waited three days to get my hands on all this goods. I hope you had better luck than I did. I can't wait to hear from you if you did get to score some goodies. I'm off to Home Goods and Whole Foods, we have visitors this weekend and a good hostess must always keep their guest tummies full.

P.S. Thanks for your sweet comments on the bedroom makeover. I appreciate all of your input and support. The fabric on the headboard will be replaced with a different fabric. I can't wait to show you all the transformation.

New Master Bedroom Reveal!!!
I finally got the courage to reveal our new master bedroom. The curtains are finally up, the nightstands are finished but that's about it. Yup, the room is not completed and I don't know if it will ever be. For now you get to see the current state of the room. The headboard is our old headboard just draped with fabric from Ikea. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or choose a different fabric to cover the headboard with. I'm planning a trip to the fabric store on Saturday hoping to find a different fabric for the headboard. I would love to hear your opinion? Should I keep the fabric from Ikea or replace it with a different fabric? Please feel free to recommend fabrics you think may work in the space.
Stay Tuned! Tomorrow I will post a list of resources of the items we used in the bedroom.

A Boring Bathroom Wall!
When we moved into our new place the last space in my mind was our master bathroom. It is no secret that our current place happens to be where white and beige came to die, not my ideal space at all but trying to make the best out of everything is my motto. When life gives me lemons, I make lemonade. So, I finally decided to tackle our boring white bathroom with a gallery wall behind the nook where our toilet seats. With inexpensive frames from Ikea and prints from an old art book this boring nook was reinvented into a colorful space. I have a lot more to do in here but I wanted to share the first of many more projects to come. More projects to come tomorrow!

Sick!!!
Sorry I've been missing in action lately!. I stayed home today due to a terrible cold I'm trying to recover from. I had to share the messy state our bedroom is in at the moment. Sorry for that but it will make a great before and after once I post the images of the room. I promise to be back tomorrow, hopefully feeling a little better!

Iconic Orange!
Yes you guessed it right! I was referring to the iconic Hermes orange. There is something about that orange box that will make half of us give up our priciest possessions just to have 1, or 2, or 10. Half of time we're happier with the packaging than with what's inside the infamous box. Sure a Birkin bag wouldn't hurt!Hermes orange happens to be my favorite colors specially when used in a room in the form of accessories. I know we all love the Tiffany blue box but nothing beats the Hermes box! Do you agree? If you have one, I'm sure you are displaying it in your home and if your not please take it out your closet and let everyone admire its beauty. I can't wait to have a mini collection of my very own.

Styling on a Budget
I know I recently raved about the latest issue of Lonny and I guess I will continue to carry on! One of my favorite homes featured was that of designer Vanessa De Vargas. Her California home is the epitome of California chic. Vanessa's tips for designing on a budget are immensely helpful and full of great ideas to get the most out of your wallet. I hope you enjoy the tour and walk away feeling a bit more inspired.
The headboard and the lamps are my favorite items in this room and the sea-foam blue on the walls makes me want to run to Home Depot. I know, I really need to control myself and embrace my white walls!
By far my favorite image from her home. Love anything Kelly green and this cabinets are very high on my list. The vignette above ties perfectly with the bamboo mirror and the white gourd lamps.

French Country can be Sophisticated!!!
I've had this image from Elle Decor saved into my favorite files for sometime now and I must confess it happens to be one of my old time favorite images. My personal style is far from this image but there is a romantic feel this room has along with it's sophistication which can't be ignored. I covet the old farm table, the chandelier, hutch and I could continue to go on in regards to every item in the room. I find it interesting to be coveting a room that can be very far my personal style. Has this happened to you? And it just happens that peonies are my favorite flowers in the whole wide world!
P.S Thank you for your kind comments and emails in regards to my previous post!
