Delayed Christmas Decorations!

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas along with your friends and family!!! I've been busy like crazy but promise to start posting daily after New Year's Eve. I wanted to share my Christmas decorations with all of you! Sorry for the delay but better late than never, right! To be honest, I feel like Christmas flew by and I didn't get a chance to get into the holiday spirit, I really hope you did!

I'm lucky to say Santa brought me all of the presents I wanted! I'm grateful for the wonderful people in my life and for all you sweet blog friends who have stood by my side since the beginning of this blog. I'm excited for the next year and I'm happy to say big changes are coming to Designing Life!

I Love, Love My New Lamp!

Please don't think I've abandoned you!!! I love my readers and your support means the world to me. Life has been over the top lately, in a good way! I'm crazy busy with work and new clients, the wedding plans continue to progress and the holidays seem to be flying by. Bobby and I just returned from a much needed vacation, part of the reason I didn't get a chance to blog last week. Moving along.....Can you believe I scored this lamp at HomeGoods for just $20? I just can't stop staring at it, and it goes perfectly with my favorite chair. I'm happy to announce the house is coming together quite nicely. Pictures of the Christmas tree and Christmas decorations will be posted tomorrow. Thank you for hanging in there and for your amazing support!!!!

xo,

P.S. For those that emailed me, Tazer is doing a lot better! Thank you for your sweet comments and concerned emails.

For my love of wreath!!!

I just wanted to share some of my favorite images of wreaths. I love the idea of an unconventional wreath like the one with the peacock feathers and the sea shells. I spruced up my wreath this year with some ribbon, I will show you on Friday the images of the tree and wreath. Have you done anything different with your wreath this year? I would love to hear all about it.

Happy Holidays!!!

Holiday Rooms that Inspire!!!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I love to decorate my house with Christmas decorations! I'm a firm believer in decorating for Christmas according to your style. For example if you love clean lines and modern furniture keep it festive without over doing it. I will be sharing pictures of my tree later this week and let's just say black is "in". In the spirit of the holidays I wanted to share some of my favorite images from my files. Have you done something with your tree this year that's different from last year or do you stick to the same theme every year? I can't wait to hear thoughts.

Happy Holidays!!

Wedding Invites...... so hard to pick one!

As many of you know we're planning a fall wedding in Miami, yes I know fall doesn't really exist in Miami. Who am I kidding? In the mist of fooling myself I got caught up on choosing the perfect wedding invitation. These are just a few of the hundreds of invites I like. Please help a girl choose, since Bobby just continues to remind me he's fine with whatever I like. Not much help there as you can see. I would love to hear your thoughts!

P.S Remember to participate on the giveaway, the pillow is the perfect addition to your holiday decor.

Coming Clean!

Tazer aka Gordo
Jade and Tazer the first night we brought Jade home.

To say the last couple of weeks have been rough will be an understatement. Yes, I got engaged and I'm thrilled to be getting married and planning the wedding of my dreams but my happiness has been shadowed with terrible news. Our 8yr old American Bulldog Tazer had to have an emergency surgery last Monday due to a cyst that was found on his paw. At the time the vet didn't know if it was a tumor and we weren't planning on waiting to find out. During his surgery we opted to have him neuter since we were not planning on breeding him. The results came in yesterday and unfortunately they are not the best news. They didn't find anything on the cyst that was on his paw but they did find a tumor on his testicles that was a grade two cancer. As you can imagine we're freaking out. I don't have any babies and my dogs are my life! Tazer is an amazing dog and I couldn't picture our lives with out him. He has to have a second surgery in a couple of weeks for another biopsy. I only wish for him to have a comfortable and happy life and we plan to do whatever it takes to make him feel better. I would like to thank you for letting me vent about my baby boy!

P.S. I'm sorry I didn't get to do the giveaway as I had promised. As you can imagine I'm a mess of emotions right now and I can't seem to remember what 2+2 is anymore. I promise to host the giveaway tomorrow!

P.P.S I went shopping for my wedding dress on Friday with my two amazing sisters and I think I might have found my gown. The dress is a Reem Acra from her 2010 fall collection. I haven't purchased the gown yet because I want my mom to see me wearing it and unfortunately she was not able to make it with us. I have the best time trying on amazing wedding couture and Keidy from Chic Parisien was the biggest sweetheart! I highly recommend her to anyone that plans to purchase their gown in South Florida.
