Bookshelf Help!

I really need your help deciding on which bookshelf to get from Ikea. We have a space on top of our stairs, on our third floor where I would like to put a bookshelf. Either the Expedit or the Lack would work however I can't make up my mind. Its not easy to live in a three story townhouse, I'm constantly finding myself being challenged by the layout but there is no fun when designing a space is simple! right? I have already decided on the color white, except I don't know which of the two will work best. I have all of my books in boxes in the garage and they definitely need a place to call their home other than a cardboard box. Which design do you like best? I could never understand why is so simple to make decisions that involve my client's home and not when it comes to my own. Help Please!!!

I like the second one better. It would be easier to display items along with your books.

I just bought the largest Expedit for my office last weekend, but for a small space like that I would go with the Lack. It looks so chic in person. I love it!

I vote for the second one.

I like the second one as well, though I do love the lack shelf. I jus think the block formation gives the shelf more graphic impact. Good luck!

At first I liked the first one because of the thickness of the shelves...but now I am wavering towards the second.

Big help, eh?
