A Sunday afternoon, South FL style

I hope all of you had an amazing weekend, like the one we had. It was 90 degrees all weekend long but that didn't keep Bobby and I, or the rest of South Florida, from having an awesome time. I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, a place that no matter how many cities I visit elsewhere, I am always eager to come back to. Here is how we spent our Sunday, I put together a series of photos that we took throughout our little date.

Le Tub Restaurant in Hollywood, FL

We love this place! It has been in business for over 30 years, and has a quirky decor consisting of "tubs", Key West style. It takes about 45 minutes to get your food, so make sure to order drinks right away while you wait. GQ Magazine named their burgers the best in the country and I second that. The seafood salad is also a must have as well as their Key Lime Pie. It is worth the trip, the wait time, and the views. Le Tub

Bay views from the restaurant tables.

School of Amberjacks, waiting to be fed by patrons. Bobby taught this to me, there's no way I could have known this.

Las Olas, Ft Lauderdale was next. We love this area of South FL, this is where the locals hang out. It has a very laid-back feel to it, full of cool bistros, outdoor cafes and boutiques, all along the beach.

The Ritz Carlton is behind me to the right, and The W Hotel, Ft Lauderdale is down the street.

Here are just a couple of homes we drove by near Ft Lauderdale beach. Aren't they amazing? This is what I love about South Florida, the mix of Architecture you see throughout the city.

When I grow up, I want to have this view from my backyard.
